Gladys Marie Willis November 27, 1927 - January 31, 2018

Gladys Marie Willis, age 90 of Sparta, Missouri passed away Wednesday evening, January 31, 2018 in her home. She was born November 27, 1927 in Taney County the daughter of Lawrence and Nannie (Back) Bilyeu. Gladys was united in marriage to Clyde Willis and this union was blessed with two sons. Marie was a strong and independent woman with a big and loving heart. She was always ready for a trip and enjoyed traveling near and far. Her favorite trips were spent with her grandchildren and she was always happy to make lasting memories. Marie was a talented seamstress and also enjoyed feeding the birds and deer and planting flowers. For 10 years Marie was an employee at Lily Tulip Cup Corporation of Springfield. She was a longtime member of the Sparta First Baptist Church. Marie is survived by her two sons Mike Willis and wife Judy and Ron Willis; four grandchildren, Dale, Jr., Michael Willis, Jr. and wife Laura, Daniel Clyde Willis and wife Katie, Rachel Stutesmun; six great- grandchildren Isaac, Sydney Marie, Elizabeth and Jacob Willis, Mikayela and Emma Stutesmun; brother Landon Bilyeu and wife Wava; two sisters Margie Ogden, Ellen Troutt and husband Daylon and other caring relatives. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Everett Bilyeu. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Alan Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery, Springfield.
