Michael Willard Bushong age 50 of Chadwick, Missouri passed away Wednesday June 28, 2017 in Cox South Hospital. He was born September 23, 1966 in Mountain Grove, Missouri the son of Willard “Buck” and Delta (Buchanan) Bushong. On September 16, 1995 he was united in marriage to Kathy Gideon. After graduating from Seymour High School, Mike worked various jobs including manufacturing limousines and driving trucks. When not working, he enjoyed fishing and hunting elk and deer. He also enjoyed traveling and sightseeing with his family and cherished his time with his girls, Brooke, Bailey, Mikayla, Maryann, and Madilynn. Mike’s final act of giving was the gift of being a donor so others may benefit from his generosity. Mike is survived by his wife Kathy Bushong; daughters Brooke Stanley and husband Chris, Bailey Tennis and husband Shelby and Mikayla Bushong; granddaughters Maryann and Madilynn Stanley; mother Delta Stafford and husband Don; mother-in-law Wanda Gideon; father-in-law Robert Gideon and wife Bessie; sisters Barbara Turley and husband Kim, Pamela Cole and husband Jack. Additional survivors include sisters-in-law Deirdre Bushong , Diane Guerin and husband Marvin; brother-in-law James Gideon and wife Michelle; nieces and nephews Derek Turley, Kory and Willow Stucki, Bryson and Le Anne Pittman, Breanne, Brayton and Keaton Ipock, Brooke and David Farnsworth, Devin, Emily and Lydia Bushong, Denton and Kaity Bushong, Marvin E., Logan, and Garrett Guerin, Jack Guerin, Rob, Gretta, Gage and Bryer Guerin, Dusty, Brianna, Mackenzie, Kaylee and Jase Guerin, Emily and Nathaniel Gideon and a large extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Willard “Buck” Bushong, brother Timothy Bushong and nephew Timothy Guerin. Funeral services for Mike will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Gary Dedmon officiating. Burial will follow in Chadwick Memorial Cemetery.     Our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. Mike was such a good natured, happy go lucky, fun to be around guy. He will be missed but fondly remembered.

    My name is Craig Folsom and my dad and I used to work with Mike at Dabryan Coach back in the mid to late 90’s. I am truly sorry to read about the loss of this great guy. He was one of a kind. A true leader and also one for a great laugh. I never Mike knew Mike to take life too serious. The world would be a great place if their was more Mike’s in it. I am sure he will be greatly missed. Again I am sorry for your loss.

    So sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Delta you have had so much sadness. I know how it is to loose 1 son but can’t know how it would be to loose 2. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Mike’s family and all others. I know that Karen and Charles will be there today and our thoughts and prayers will be with all of you. Take care and enjoy the memories of years past. I had not seen Mike for a long time but did not he was having health problems thru Karen. God be with you all. Janice.

    I’m very sorry for the family’s loss. My heart goes out to everyone. Prayers for peace, comfort and strength. I came to the funeral home last Saturday and paid my last respects but was unable to extend my condolences to anyone.
