I wish I could be there with you all to share the tears, hear the funny stories and re-live the memories of my Uncle George. I remember thinking Uncle George was the coolest uncle ever. He drove that great blue Camaro, jumped out of airplanes and played with my cousins and me. I have so many fond memories of the time I spent with him and I will forever see him as a young vibrant man in the prime of life. Even though I cannot be with you all during this difficult time I am praying for your peace and comfort.

    George,
It was an honor to know you, call you a friend, serve our country as brothers in arms, and to share our love of motorcycles and Harley-Davidson. We had great times riding our steel steeds with our brother, Terry Rausch, and enjoying the beauty and wonderful gifts this country has to offer. So fortunate and blessed to have spent last Veterans day weekend with you in Missouri. I know St. Michael the Archangel, as patron saint of airborne soldiers escorted you through the pearly gates. I will miss you, but also look forward to our reunion when it’s my time to join you in that wonderful place in the house of the Lord. Farewell for now until we meet and ride again!
    Tom

One of George’s volunteer opportunities was as an election judge. I worked alongside him one election. It was a great day! I appreciated his willingness to be a part of his adopted-home area of Chadwick. He is one of those people who touches your heart in a warm way. I am glad to have been on one his life’s paths.

We went to school with George. Even at that time we all knew George’s love for the military. When we read his accomplishments we are so proud of the man he became and so appreciative of his service to our country. Looking back he was mature beyond his years in school.
We bought his dads tractor at their family auction here in Wisconsin and we named it warren. I can’t remember why, but after the auction George called our house and I told him we call the tractor warren, he got choked up.

We wish you had more years george.
Thank you again for your service to our country. It was great knowing you.
