Blake Gardner, age 18 of Nixa, Missouri passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, March 31, 2020, after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born June 6, 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of Troy and Jennifer Gardner. Blake had a great passion for music and his family and friends enjoyed watching him rock the stage in many concerts. He is now playing music in Heaven. Blake was a graduate of Nixa High School, class of 2019.
Blake is survived by his parents Troy and Jennifer (Goddard) Gardner; his sister Phoebe Gardner of Nixa; as well as his paternal grandfather Don Gardner of Nixa; maternal grandparents Tom and Pam Goddard of Springfield along with various aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him dearly. Blake was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Loretta Gardner, July 12, 2019.
Blake’s Celebration of Life will be held in June on a date to be announced and determined later. Information will be passed on to family and friends once time, date and location are determined. In lieu of flowers and honoring Blake’s wishes, donations may be made in his name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959. Blake received amazing care for the last 15 months while being a patient at St Jude Hospital.
