Blake Gardner June 6, 2001 - March 31, 2020

Blake Gardner, age 18 of Nixa, Missouri passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, March 31, 2020, after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born June 6, 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of Troy and Jennifer Gardner. Blake had a great passion for music and his family and friends enjoyed watching him rock the stage in many concerts. He is now playing music in Heaven.  Blake was a graduate of Nixa High School, class of 2019.

Blake is survived by his parents Troy and Jennifer (Goddard) Gardner; his sister Phoebe Gardner of Nixa; as well as his paternal grandfather Don Gardner of Nixa; maternal grandparents Tom and Pam Goddard of Springfield along with various aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him dearly. Blake was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Loretta Gardner, July 12, 2019.

Blake’s Celebration of Life will be held in June on a date to be announced and determined later. Information will be passed on to family and friends once time, date and location are determined. In lieu of flowers and honoring Blake’s wishes, donations may be made in his name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959. Blake received amazing care for the last 15 months while being a patient at St Jude Hospital.

    Blake was a sweet, kind, happy, kid, Always fun loving and entertaining. We will miss & remember him always, and know that he will still be with us at every gig.

    We were so sad to here of Blake’s death. We know he will be greatly missed.

    My heart goes out to you and your family. We know that God just had other plans. There is not much I can ever say to give your family comfort. God will get you through it. just lean on Him and remember there will be times when He carries you. You are in my prayers.

    Zach and I are praying for your family and will always remember Blakie as Zach’s first best friend. Some of my best memories are those days of us and our boys weeks apart, enjoying our time together. Sending our love and prayers for peace.
