Clinton Applegate,Jr. fondly known as “Bosco”, age 56 of Sparta, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, August 12, 2014 in Cox South Hospital, Springfield. He was born December 17, 1957 the son of Lou Ditha (Lakey) and Clinton Applegate, Sr. On October 16, 1976 he was united in marriage to Janice Letterman. Bosco enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, he also had a reputation for his expert ability to catch big fish. His grandchildren called him “POP” and they were the love of his life. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Bosco is survived by his wife Janice; one son Chris and wife Kaytlin of Chadwick; two grandchildren Bailey and Newt Applegate; seven siblings Mae Satterfield of Aldrich, Thetis Applegate of Walnut Grove, Cletis Applegate of Willard, Rosea Perez of Fair Play, Joyce Allmand of Walnut Grove, Deborah Gazaway of Fair Play and Roger Applegate of Bolivar; a special friend Jim Case of Sparta; several other caring relatives and many good friends. Bosco was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Juanita “Sissy” Reed, his in-laws Charley and Anna Mae Letterman.Celebration of Life services for Bosco will be 7:00p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Terry Bennett officiating.
