Cindy Genzler, the love of Bob’s life and center of her family, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Cindy was in the home, beside her loving husband of 40 years, at the time of her passing. On September 9, 1953 Cindy was born in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Lawrence and Delores Moser. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri State University in early childhood development and for 35 years she worked for Mercy Health Systems, mostly in Mercy’s in-house preschool, as a teacher. Cindy was also a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church. She loved her faith and made it an intricate part of her life. She took great joy in teaching her children and grandchildren about Jesus Christ. Cindy will be remembered for her love of art, lady bug rocks, garage sale abilities, Christmas gifts, infomercial kitchen gadgets, sleep overs with the grandkids that included bubble baths and cheese omelets in bed, but above all the intense love she had for her family. Cindy committed her life to her faith and family. Cindy had a favorite quote that she would share when life became difficult or when she would be asked for advice;
“The most important part of this life is
obtain Heaven in the next”.
She lived out this quote in her life through the way she cared for her children, grand- children and the intense love and commitment that Bob and her shared for 40 years. Cindy is survived by her husband, Bob Genzler who loved her more than life itself. Her daughter Dyann and husband Steve O’neal of Aurora, daughter Becky and husband Scott Guccione of Clever, son Jim and wife Megan Genzler of Clever, brother Tom and wife Becky Moser of California, sister Julie and husband Russ Wolter of St Louis, brother Steve Moser of St Louis and eight grandchildren and one great-grand daughter. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Mason Guccione. Funeral mass will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church, Springfield, Missouri with Reverend Thomas Reidy officiating. Burial will follow in Frazier Cemetery, Boaz, Missouri. Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, an organization very near to Cindy’s heart. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.

So sorry to hear of Cindy’s passing. I worked with her for many years at the Child Development Center at Mercy. I think about her often and have very fond memories of Cindy. She was very special and had such a great sense of humor; so fun to work with.
May God Bless you all.
