    Beth and Levi says

The other day, my son was walking to school and he encountered Mr. Earl. He told Levi how much he liked his green hair and that he was on his way to McDonald’s. Levi noticed that Earl was a bit unsteady and although he would be late for school, he offered to walk him to McDonald’s. As they walked and chatted, Earl unfortunately had a fall. A passerby called 911. Levi sat and held Earl’s hand until help arrived and stayed with him the entire time. A police officer brought Levi to school and told him that he probably made a big difference to Earl that day.
When Levi got home from school, he told me the entire story and asked how we could find his new friend. I promised him I would look into it, and as life has a way of doing, I completely forgot..
This morning as he was getting ready for school, leave I decided he was going to walk and that reminded him to ask me if I had found Mr. Earl and hoped that he might get to walk with him. We searched the name together, only to find out the sad news. As Levi fought back tears he told me that for his birthday tomorrow, he is going to wish for a McDonald’s in heaven for his Mr. Earl.
Our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.
