Edna Ann Coles, age 83 of Ozark, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in her home. She was born September 30, 1933 in Pickens, Mississippi the daughter of Oscar Adolphus and Nina Louise (Waddell) Meek. On August 29, 1959, Edna was united in marriage to her sweetheart, Charles R. Coles and this union was blessed with four children. Edna enjoyed being a homemaker, devoted wife, loving Mother to her children and a blessed grandmother to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed the outdoors, going for walks, feeding birds and managing her flowers. Edna’s outgoing personality was charming and permitted her to experience the pleasure of never meeting a stranger. Edna was a member of Calvary Bible Church and will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Edna is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles; four children Jennifer Visser and husband Dale, Jeff Coles and wife Kim, Marci Stomp and husband Paul, Nathan Coles and wife Shannon; nine grandchildren Caleb and Daniel Visser, Bethany Launius, Tyler and Lainie Coles, Spencer Coles, Michael and Cole Stomp and Megan Coles; two great-grandchildren Knox Henry Visser and Samuel Ronald Launius. Edna is also survived by three siblings Oscar Meek, Betty Legg and Laura Pattillo, other caring relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Monday, May 1, 2017 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time.
