Fern McMillian, age 94 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 16, 2014 in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born April 3, 1919 the daughter of Harlan and Belle (Kreibel) Foust. Fern was united in marriage to Raymond Phillips and after his unexpected death she married Lawrence McMillian in 1966. Fern enjoyed being a homemaker, wife and a proud dedicated mother. With a firm belief in the Lord, Fern lived her life based on faith. She was a faithful Christian who enjoyed reading her Bible and gathering her strength from Psalm 23. Fern loved her family and leaves precious memories to her four surviving children and their spouses, Charlotte Smith and Leroy, Thomas Phillips and Linda, Sandra Hunter and Kenneth, Cheryl Bergman and Mark. She is also survived by a brother Ronald Foust and a sister Shirley Blauser; eleven grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and several other caring relatives. In addition to both her husbands, Fern was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Carol Jones, a grandchild, a great-grandchild and six siblings. Visitation for Fern was held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Barnes family Funeral Home, Ozark. Internment services and burial for Fern will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
