Harriet L. Schneider, age 82 of Seymour, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in her home. She was born March 1, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Cathryn and Nathan Goldstein. Her father passed away when Harriet was a young girl and while he was serving his country, during World War II. She always talked about how proud she was of her father. On January 25, 1958 Harriet was united in marriage to Richard Schneider and together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Harriet loved her family, caring for her dogs, enjoyed riding horses and had a love for reading. She also loved her home and managed it to perfection. Over the years, Harriet was very active in the Catholic schools when her children were young and also in the parishes she attended. Most recently, Harriet called all the parishioners from St. Joseph Parish in Ozark to wish them a happy birthday or congratulate them on an anniversary. She will be sadly missed but her loving memory will live on forever in the hearts of her loving family and friends.
Together Harriet and Richard were blessed with six children, Cindy Allen and husband Tim of Cary, Illinois, Rich Schneider and wife Chris of Lampe, Missouri, Shari Pawlicki and husband Tony of Bradleyville, Missouri, Bob Schneider and wife Maria of Libertyville, Illinois, Tami Andersen of Hawthorne Woods, Illinois and Ronnie Schneider and wife Carrie of Freeport, Illinois; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, other caring relatives and several friends.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00A.M. Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church of Ozark, Missouri. A visitation will begin at 9:00 until service time in the church.
