March 25, 2015 at 8:26 amMy heart just breaks on the passing of one of the worlds most kindest, funny, helping man. Jack was indeed one of the last of the good ole boys. I met him in 1992 working for Cecil and ginny Blevins fuel station and we stayed friends. He would come visit me at work and call me butthead a name acquired at the gas station, tell people I work with I was his girlfriend and don’t tell my husband!! And then laugh his special laugh. I am truly truly going to miss that man. Rest in peace my dear friend, you will always have a special place in my heart.

Your dad was truly one of a kind; so very special. So many times growing up walking up and down the hill between houses and your dad always finding something to tease us about. He took us all on my first snipe hunt and opened up your home to all of us Seniors after graduation to keep us all safe. My sincere condolences to the family.

March 27, 2015 at 7:35 pmJack was one of the best men that I ever met. When I was little, he always had the patience to explain things. Between Jack and my dad, Delbert Howard, they made a passion for old cars blossom and grow that has lasted to this day. I remember working on sanding boards for the bed of an old truck for him until I couldn’t move my arms. I wanted to do a good job for him. I helped dad paint emblems and details on that truck, and it was one of the best projects that we ever did together. I loved Jack, and I know he will be missed.
