Jackie Thomas, age 71 of Ozark, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Cox South Hospital. He was born January 29, 1945 in Pryor, Oklahoma the son of Luther Thomas and Flora Thomas Bunch. He was united in marriage to Linda Thomas in 1967 and she preceded him in death in 1996. Jackie was self-employed as a bricklayer who owned his own company and traveled a four state area covering masonry construction. His craftsmanship and talent defined him as winning the ‘‘fastest trowel” in the area award. Jackie was a hard working organized businessman and enjoyed fishing and hunting for relaxation. He loved his family, enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and telling stories. Jackie is survived by a son Dwayne Thomas and wife Stephanie; two daughters Sherry Townlian and husband Stu, Tammy Moody and husband Dan; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; two brothers Alford Thomas and wife Paulette, Glen Thomas and wife Janice; sister Linda Yancy; sister-in-law Connie Thomas; brother-in-law Robert Cardwell and wife Kathy; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Houseman and husband Jackie; Helen Brown and husband Delmis; other caring relatives and many friends. Jackie was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother John Thomas, infant grand-daughter Allie Rose Thomas, mother-in-law Pauline Cardwell and father-in-law Sheriff Lyman Cardwell. Funeral services for Jackie will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 13, 2016 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Sheldon Williams and Larry White officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Dickens Cemetery, Taneyville, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home..
