James McGinnis April 20, 1944 - January 29, 2022

James M. McGinnis, age 77 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, in his home. He was born April 20, 1944, in Highlandville, Missouri, the son of Radford and Gertrude (Holmes) McGinnis. On August 1, 1987, James was united in marriage to Donna Fay Robinson.

After retirement from PAR Electric, James enjoyed being a talented craftsman and made beautiful knives in his workshop. His design, quality and superior skills defined his completed knife making. James enjoyed donating knives to benefit others and blessed many with his gift. He was a member of the Pleasant Hope Masonic Lodge and also spent many years in the shrine. James loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and telling “big” fish tales. He will be sadly missed but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of his loving family and friends.

James is survived by his loving wife Donna McGinnis; son Jim McGinnis and wife Jane; daughters Michelle McGinnis and Brenda Taylor; step-son Charles Price; sister Jeanie Coffer and husband Lloyd; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other caring relatives. James was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice Coffer, brother Tom McGinnis and step-son John Price.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri with Pastor Richard Orrell officiating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery.
