Jimmy Lane Johnson, 68, of Ozark, MO went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at his home. Jimmy was born in Dubach, LA on November 30, 1945 the son of Olen and Odelle (Singleton) Johnson. On February 8, 1990 he was united in marriage to his loving wife Paulette Marie Barr. Jimmy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Family and friends were very important to him and he always made people feel loved and cherished. He enjoyed collecting antiques, old vehicles and watching his favorite racecar driver “Jimmie Johnson”. He loved playing a good round of pool (with instructions of course) and spending the day at the track betting on his favorite horse. He also loved any animal he met. Jimmy never met a stranger and became a friend to all he met. Jimmy’s life will be remembered in the hearts of all of his family and friends remembering their favorite stories of their lives together. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Olen W. Johnson and his mother Odelle E, Johnson; his maternal grandparents Frank and Mary Singleton; his paternal grandparents Tom Scott and Ressie Johnson; his niece Deanna Bell Henry; his step-son Melvin Lee Jr; and his family cat Smokey Naomi Johnson. He is survived by his wife Paulette Barr Johnson; his daughters Kelly Flowers, Jessica Johnson and step-daughter Amy Lee; his grandchildren A.J. Flowers, Stormy and Laney Swartz; a brother Larry Johnson and wife Gayle, a sister Carolyn Baker and husband Bob; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services for Jimmy will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Corinth Baptist Cemetery, Dubach, Louisiana with Pastor Billy Jo Youngblood officiating.     Jimmy never met a stranger,his knowledge of antiques,curios and relics was unbelievable.I believe he lived life to its fullest he will be sadly missed! May GOD Bless and comfort you at this difficult time

    I met Jimmy at the Ozark Senior Center and thought a lot of him, he was always friendly and had a smile for all he meet. I will miss him at the Center as I am sure everyone will. He was always a ray of sunshine, Thank you for sharing him with us at the Senior Center.
