John Rogers, age 70 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away in his home early Tuesday morning, February 17, 2015. He was born April 18, 1944 in Seymour, Missouri the son of Edgar and Roxie (Gold) Rogers. On August 22, 1964 he was united in marriage to Jewell Horn. John was a longtime devoted and honest employee of Fasco Industries for 36 years. After retiring from his factory employment, John found his new passion in life with helping others. He was happy to help his friends and neighbors needing tractor services. He was delighted to brushhog, plow gardens and care for lawns. John also loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing at Springfield Lake. John is survived by his wife Jewell; three sons Robert, Roy and John Rogers; four brothers Woodrow, Leroy, Billy and Butch Rogers; one sister Irene Williams. John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Visitation will be 9:00 to 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. February 25, 2015 at 1:20 pmMy thoughts are with the family on John’s passing. I went to high school in Mansfield with John. He always attended our class reunions and I enjoyed visiting with him. He will be missed. I saw his obit in the paper today and am sorry I missed his graveside services. He was such a nice person.
