Kevin Leon Stewart, age 58, of Ozark, MO passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016. He was born June 8, 1958 in Highlandville, MO. On August 3, 1979, he was united in marriage to Wanda Ann Kessinger. Kevin was a lifetime resident of Christian County. He was a dedicated employee to the City of Ozark Water Department for 27 years and was a hard working, family man and devoted husband, daddy, and “papaw”. Kevin loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandbabies. Kevin is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wanda Ann; two daughters Crystal Heavin, Brooke Michael and husband Jeremy; four grandbabies, Shayle, Wyatt, Corbin and Cayden. One brother, James Allen of Rockaway Beach and five sisters, Betty, Sandy, Carol, Robin, and Rhonda. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Segars; brothers Darrell Rice and Corey Grider and sister Angela Rice. Funeral services for Kevin will be 10:00 A.M., Thursady, July 7, 2016 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Bob Long officating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 6 in the funeral home. Donations may be made to Care To Learn, PO Box 166, Ozark, Missouri 65721. When I heard of his passing I couldn’t help but break down and cry. I feel so bad for the family because I know how much he is missed he probably made everybody laugh around him.
