Loye Antley, Jr. November 21, 1957 - September 14, 2024

Loye Antley, Jr, age 66, of Nixa, Missouri passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, in his home with his loving wife Denise by his side.

Loye was born November 21, 1957 in Bossier City, Louisiana, the son of Loye Antley Sr. and Margaret (Butler) Antley. On December 21, 2003 he was united in marriage to Denise Eck.

Loye entered the United States Navy at the young age of 17, making his career path for 24 years. After retiring as Quartermaster Chief Petty Officer, Loye didn’t waste time, he immediately joined the Merchant Marines. After joining the Merchant Marines Loye received the rank of First Mate, while holding an unlimited ton Captains license until his health forced him to return to terra firma. His passions were flying glider planes, skiing, sailing, reading, riding his motorcycle and questioning family and friends on trivia questions. Loye had a lifelong passion for learning. He was very adamantly against abuse of any animals, insects or mammal.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Loye is lovingly survived by his wife Denise; two daughters Khristine Uebelhoer of Germany and Sena Turner of Virginia; two step-sons Christopher and Beth Gallina of North Carolina and Matthew and Erica Gallina of Missouri; four sisters Jill Antley of Michigan, Alice Antley of Oregon, Rebecca Attenberger of Oregon and Mary Beal of Alaska. Loye will fondly be remembered by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Antley Residence on September 29, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, in lieu of flowers the family requests donations to you local animal shelter.
