Lucille Laengrich, 81, of Springfield passed into Heaven on Thursday afternoon, November 20, 2014. She was born August 26, 1933, in Mountain Pine, Arkansas, to Walter and Mamie Tillery, Lucille was married to Norbert Laengrich for the past 46 years. Lucille and Norbert lived in various places during their marriage, originally marrying in New Mexico and taking up residence in Texas. They moved to Connecticut soon thereafter, then to Huntington Beach, California, where they lived for almost 20 years. They then moved to Santa Clara, California, where they lived for 14 years until retiring to Springfield in 2003. Lucille retired after 20 years as an auditor for the JC Penney Company. She attended numerous Assembly of God churches over her lifetime and was a member of Central Assembly of God at the time of her death. She was especially proud of the fact that her parents were present at the founding of the Assemblies of God fellowship 100 years ago in Hot Springs, Arkansas. In addition to her church activities, Lucille was active for several years with the Santa Clara Players community theater in Santa Clara, California, serving on the Board of Directors and also as box office manager. For the past several years she has been actively volunteering with the Global University Prison Ministries. In addition to her husband Norbert, she is survived by her daughter Linda and husband Gary, son Kenny and wife Vicki, son Charlie, daughter Debbie and husband Mike, step-son Carl and wife Laura, step-son Anthony, and step-daughter Shelley and husband Dave. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, as well as many other extended family and many friends throughout the world. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Central Assembly of God, Springfield. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 25 in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Global University Prison Ministries, 1211 S. Glenstone Avenue, Springfield, MO, 65804.
