Margaret Bilyeu July 20, 1946 - January 12, 2020

Margaret J. Bilyeu fondly known as Mardi, age 73 of Chadwick, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020, in her home. She was born July 20, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of George and Beatrice Mae ( Barbeau) Blood. On November 21, 2003 she was united in marriage to Rex Bilyeu.

Mardi began her career with the Illinois State Police Department in Chicago and enjoyed 12 years of dedicated service. She was also recognized as the first lady hired in the telecommunications department, District 3. Later Mardi moved to the island of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and enjoyed studying gemology and selling jewelry. In 1998, Mardi became a Detox Technician with Larry Simmering Recovery Center of Branson. After advancing through the company as a Counselor and then Senior Counselor, CSAC II, she retired and enjoyed traveling, cooking, watching Jeopardy and cross word puzzles. Mardi was also a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and enjoyed attending worship.

Mardi is survived by her husband Rex; two daughters Lori Palau and husband Luis, and Elizabeth Mai; one grandson Louie Palau; one granddaughter Melissa Palau; other caring relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Barnes Family Funeral Home with Rev. John Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Chadwick Cemetery.     Sorry for your loss. Thinking of you Uncle Rex at this difficult time. I never met Mardi, but was told many wonderful things about her from Dee and my mom (Betty.) Praying for comfort for you and Mardi’s family.
