Martha Holt January 3, 1938 - July 2, 2011

Martha Neioma “Dalton” Holt age 73 of Oldfield, Missouri, passed away Saturday July 2, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born January 3, 1938 in Taneyville, the only daughter of Stark and Emily Dalton. She was united in marriage June 22, 1963 to Sidney Raymond Holt and this union was blessed with three sons. Martha was a homemaker, farmer, and a gardener. She loved being outdoors taking care of her landscaping and weed-eating her hillside lawn. Her flowers bloomed in abundance in the summer and winter sparkled with thousands of Christmas lights. She was thoughtful, generous and had a keen ability to find good in everyone. Survivors include one daughter Marie Weis of Rockaway Beach, three sons Loyd Holt and Pam of Sparta, Leon Holt and wife Terri Holt and Michael Holt all of Oldfield; one step-daughter Brenda Chatman of Nixa; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five brothers Jeff Dalton of Taneyville, Eudell Dalton of Forsyth, Dallard Dalton of Chadwick, Bob Dalton of Bradleyville, Ernie Dalton of Sparta, and special friends Jeff and Tonya Coffer, as well as many others who knew her as “Mom”. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two step-sons Clark Holt and Jeffery Holt and one brother Joseph Olen Dalton. Funeral services will be 10: a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, MO. with Reverend Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield, MO. under the care of Barnes Family Funeral Home of Ozark. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in the funeral home.
