Reverend Robert Franklin Daniels, age 90 of Ozark, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in Ozark Nursing and Care after an extended stay. He was born February 5, 1927 the son of Charles F. and Emma (Hannah) Daniels. On June 6, 1949 Robert was united in marriage to Annabel Mansfield in Harrison, Arkansas and to this union one son, John F. Daniels was born. Robert graduated from Ozark High School in 1945 and proudly served his country with the United States Army during WWII. Later, he attended Draughon’s Business College and was employed by Griesemer Stone Company. For 33 years, Robert was their dedicated office manager and bookkeeper. On May 20, 1979, Robert surrendered to preach the gospel and was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister. Robert was a longtime Christian County resident and well-known minister who pastored six different churches in the Tri-County area. His churches included First Central Baptist, Chadwick First Baptist, Selmore Baptist, Smyrna Baptist, Fremont Hills Baptist and Eastern Gate Baptist. Robert also served as volunteer chaplain at the Christian County jail for 13 years, volunteer chaplain for the Sheriff’s Chaplaincy for 8 years and volunteer chaplain at Ozark Nursing and Care for 13 years. Robert enjoyed attending and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church of Ozark. Robert is survived by his son John Daniels and was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Annabell on February 20, 2017. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 23, 2017 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Chaplain Bob Elder officiating. Reverend Daniels will be laid to rest in Ozark City Cemetery following his full military service honors. Visitation will be 6-7:00 P.M. Thursday evening in the funeral home.
