Robert Lee (Bob) Snider, age 82 of Ozark, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018. Bob was born in Ozark on November 10, 1935, the son of Chester and Ina (Baird) Snider. On June 15, 1957, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Marolyn (Farwell) Snider and to this union two sons, Marty Lee and Scottie Lane were born. In 1953, Bob graduated from Ozark High School and joined the Missouri National Guard. After returning to Ozark, Bob bought a milk route and delivered milk to the local Majors Cheese Factory and Dairy. Later Bob was employed by Ozark Chrysler Plymouth, where he was head mechanic. In 1969, Bob was employed with the City of Ozark as Public Works Director and retired in 1999 after 30 years of dedicated service. Bob loved to coon hunt, raise blue tick coon hounds, fishing and spending lots of weekends camping with his family and friends. One of Bob’s biggest joys was attending Victory Baptist Church where he was presently a member and a deacon for 50 years. He also enjoyed singing in various Quartets. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 51 years Marolyn, his son Marty Lee Snider, his step-mother Hattie, baby brother John Henry, sister Wanda Wagner, a step-sister and three step-brothers. Bob is survived by his son Scottie Lane Snider and his wife Pam of Sparta; four grandchildren Shawna Brueggemann and husband Jared of Spokane, Erin Long and husband Heath of Ozark; Kyle Girth of Rogersville and Letesha Girth of Rogersville; daughter-in-law Sandy (Snider) Girth and husband Ron of Rogersville; two great grandchildren Ashlyn and Riley Long of Ozark; a dear and close friend Katie Little of Ozark and other caring relatives. Funeral services for Bob will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 29, 2018 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Rev. Bob Long officiating. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery.
