Roberta Elaine (Turner) Grider, age 72, Ozark, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 in her home with her family by her side. She was born in Foil, Missouri, August 7, 1951, the daughter of Nolan and Nellie (Wilson) Turner. On August 11, 1985 she was united in marriage to Don Grider.
In 1969, Roberta graduated from Ava High School with a high ranking top 10% of her class academic title. After graduation, she continued her many hours of study and graduated from Drury University, Springfield, Missouri. Roberta was very driven and a perfectionist in her professional life as a paralegal. She was gifted with serving others and dedicated to doing a good job. After retirement, Roberta enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking and searching for lighthouses. Roberta will be fondly remembered and her loving memories will remain in the hearts of her wonderful family forever.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband, Don Grider; children Erin Tompkins and husband Donald, Stephan Nash, Michael Nash and wife Lichelle and Russell Grider and wife Jaime; six grandchildren Nickie Nash, Cara Alday, Benjamin Hurd, Adam Hurd, Briar Hurd and Dalton Grider; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters Rhonda Turner and Reba Holt and husband John; three brothers Roldan Turner and wife Debbie, Roy Turner and wife Rene and Randall Turner and wife Pat; numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Roberta will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery, Highlandville, Missouri. We had many good times going to bluegrass shows and eating out. I was also privileged to work with her for many years.
