Ted Davis July 31, 1930 - June 7, 2012

Ted Davis, age 81 years, 10 months and 7 days, of Sparta, MO, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. He was born July 31, 1930 in Reeds Spring, MO the son of Everett and Lucy (Mease) Davis. On February 21, 1951, he was united in marriage to Ruby June Housh and to this union they were blessed with three children. By trade, Ted was a farmer and a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting as well as gardening and always grew a big garden. He also attended and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, Sparta. He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Ruby June; two daughters, Violet Elaine Caylor and husband Paul and Rosemary Fulton and husband Richard (Butch) all of Sparta; a son, Tony Michael Davis and wife Lana of Springfield; three grandchildren, Stephanie Davis, Ryan Fulton and wife Angel and Kyle Davis; three great-grandchildren, Aysha, Mya and Rhett Fulton; step-granddaughter Lacy Caylor; two sisters, Virginia Hedrick of Gravette, AR and Carolyn Noga of Reeds Spring; three brothers, Virgil Davis and wife Wilma of Sparta, Don Davis and wife Joanne and Jim Davis all of Galena; numerous nieces, nephews, other caring relatives and many friends. Ted was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Ted were held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastors Clifford Day and Joseph Ransom officiating.
