Thomas A. Marshall, age 72 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side, Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Cox South Hospital. Tom was born in Akron, Ohio, May 27, 1946 the son of Samuel and Leona (Lauthis). He lived the majority of his life in Ohio, except for a few years as a teenager he lived in Florida and later moved to Ozark, Missouri in 2008.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda; his son Allen (Melinda); his daughter Trish (Dean); his stepdaughter Tonia (Roger) and siblings Jean, Leona, Ron, Sam, and Judi; as well as his many loving nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Leona; his siblings, Della, Harold, Bud and Ed; and his wife Ruth.
After 26 years of service, Tom retired from the Mogadore School District where he was employed as a school bus driver and mechanic. Tom also served as a volunteer firefighter during the 80’s, was an accomplished machinist, a licensed cabinet maker and an avid photographer.
Tom was a loving father, husband and friend to all. He had a contagious smile and laugh, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, helping others, and watching movies.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at River Bluff Fellowship: 2655 E. Farm Road 188, Ozark, Missouri at a later date. An Additional celebration will be held in Ohio in March.
