Vivian “Janie” Morrison of Oldfield, Missouri, departed this life and entered Heaven on Saturday, May16, 2015, at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 22 days. She was born September 24, 1934 in Chadwick, Missouri the daughter of Earl (Goog) and Tillie (Jones) Loomis and graduated from Chadwick High School in 1952. After retirement and moving to the farm, she loved raising chickens, tending cattle, planting tomatoes and working in her flower garden. Janie was also a faithful Christian and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Janie is survived by her husband George; daughter Rhonda Stokes; son Bo Morrison and wife Rachel; four grandchildren Courtney Stokes, Leslie Correll, Caleb Morrison, Jayme Clinkenbeard and husband Shane; four great-grandchildren Dylan, Kyle, Layne and Ayden; brother-in-law Dillon Morrison and wife Carol; three sisters-in-law Jean Loomis, Ortha Lawrence and Doris Morrison; several nieces, nephews, and other caring relatives. Janie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Joe Loomis. Funeral services for Janie will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at Highlonesome, with Pastor Jerry Loveland officiating. Burial will follow in Highlonesome Cemetery.
