Ada Mae Moody-Crain, age 74 of Chadwick, Missouri passed away, Thursday, May 26, 2022, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born January 18, 1948 the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Newberry) Rogers. On Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2010, Ada was united in marriage to Tom Crain.

Ada was a long-time employee for Hagles Industry of Ozark and was employed with Cox South Hospital, for 15 years. She was small in stature but shared her huge heart willingly with others. Her kindness to others was always a top priority and she made many lasting friendships. Ada was very well loved and cared deeply for her many animals, especially her dogs “Houn” Pup and Chester, and her cats Midnight, Miss Kitty and Squirt. In order for others to be a donor recipient, and as her last act of kindness, Ada wished to be an eye donor with Saving Sight. Her eye donation was important to her and carried out her considerate kindness for others. Ada will be sadly missed but her loving memory will live on forever in the hearts of her wonderful family and friends.

Ada is survived by her husband Tom Crain; daughter Judy Huff; brother Will Rogers and wife Joan; stepson Tyler Crain; granddaughter Amber Huff; grandson Drew Crain and wife Kirstie; great-grandchildren Jeffery Horning Jr., Rilynn Crain and Hadley Crain; sisters-in-law Elise Crain, Goldie Presley and Wanda Rogers; many nieces, nephews and other close caring friends. Ada was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Moody, her parents and brother Charles Rogers Jr.

Graveside funeral services will be 1:00P.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Chadwick Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. According to Ada’s wishes no visitation is planned. Donations to honor Ada may be made to Cox Health Cancer Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Chadwick Cemetery.
