There are no words sufficient to express what a joy it was to have such a loving Mama. I have wonderful memories of excitement and joy the closer we got to Mama and Papa’s house both as a child and as an adult. Being with Mama was simply FUN. I can hear her laugh like it was yesterday. The love that she gave will last a lifetime in my heart. The kindness she expressed to every single person that came across her path impacted the lives of so many.
She will be so deeply missed, but I treasure all of my memories.

    Trish

2 Corinthians 5:6-8 says, ” So we are always of great courage. We know that while we are home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”

Mama Bonnie you were always so kind-hearted. You were a blessing to all. I will miss you dearly. Rejoice and be happy; for you are now home.

    With much love,
    Your great granddaughter

I remember this one time we were visiting Mama Bonnie, and she wanted to feed the raccoons with me. She couldn’t find anything but prunes, so of course that’s what we fed them. After the prunes were gone she said “These raccoons will poop good tonight.” Of course we all cracked up. I called her on her birthday and she said “Happy Birthday to you too. Oh wait, I meant Happy Valentines Day.” I miss you Mama Bonnie. Love you

I had the privilege of knowing Bonny for a short time but that time was full of joy and many new memories Bonny welcomed me as a life long friend and made me feel a part of her life. Each visit began with Bonny making sure her lipstick was on, ending with a time of prayer to our Lord.

What a blessing to have known this precious lady. May God’s grace sustain you during these days!
