Charles Franklin Rogers, age 80 of Sparta, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in his home. He was born March 16, 1934 the son of Orlando Louis and Anna (Pletcher) Rogers. On July 12, 1954 he was united in marriage to Wilma Jean Willis and they were happily married for 60 years. Charles was a longtime Christian County resident and attended Bruner Baptist Church. During his younger life he owned and operated a rural milk route, two service stations and three car washes. Then later, he started his own construction business until his retirement. Charles is survived by his wife Wilma; son Frank Rogers; two daughters Marcella and husband Tim Gardner, Suzanne Grider and husband Roger; eleven grandchildren Robert, Amanda, Randy, Tom, Derek, Casie, Clay, Nathan, Amber, Christy and Brian; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters Pauline Ryals and Vivian Johns; one brother Pletcher and wife Bonnie, other caring relatives and several good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be 2:00P.M. Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home Ozark. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday noon to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com

    So sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie , I remember when he drove the milk route down our way and picked up our milk, also remember when he and Wilma were married.

    Missed him at church after he got sick.
