Robert L. Pratt, fondly known as Bob, age 67 of Nixa , Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield. He was born June 18, 1947 in Aberdeen, South Dakota the son of Richard Charles and Lillian A. (Bohling) Pratt. On August 14, 1966, he was united in marriage to Judy Young and they were happily married for 47 years before her death on December 10, 2013. Bob was a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for over 25 years, and enjoyed working as a postal carrier with the Nixa post office. Bob also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force beginning in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1969. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, his last final act of caring and giving was his live organ donations through the Gift of Life Donor Program. Bob is survived by two sons Richard Pratt and wife Kim and Scott Pratt; three grandchildren, McKenzie, Hailey and Kendall; a sister Laurel and husband Craig, a stepmother-in- law, Pat Reed; nieces, nephews, other caring relatives and several good friends. In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother, a nephew and a niece. Funeral services will be 12:30P.M.Tuesday, January13, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, with Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M.in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield with full military honors. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00P.M. Monday evening January 12, in the funeral home.     Sooo sad to see you go but soo glad you get to be with our heavenly father as well as the rest of the crew…Judy,grandma Lillian ,Julie,Lisa,your dad,my grandparents and parents and all the others that passed before you…
    We will miss you sooo much..I know the squeaks will miss you too!! You always knew how to make us laugh!
    Condolences goes to the rest of the family here on earth!so sorry Richard and Scott,and the rest of the family, that you all have to go thru this…I will be praying for you all!!

    We are sad to learn that our neighbor and friend passed away. It was quite a surprise because we hadn’t suspected that he was so ill. We extend our sympathy to his caring family.

    I first met bob when I was a contract cleaner at the nixa post office back in the ninetys, bob was a great friend and was always friendly with every one he met. bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him, from one veteran to another veteran salute my friend.
