Clara Lee Clinton December 8, 1928 - December 31, 2020

Clara Lee (Roberts Shelton) Clinton, age 92 of Ozark, Missouri began her eternal dance with Jesus Thursday, December 31, 2020. She was born December 8,1928 in Sparta, Missouri the daughter of Wade and Beatrice (Fox) Roberts. After Beatrice passed away in 1933, Wade was united in marriage to Creole (Hughes) in 1936.

In 1945, Clara was united in marriage to Clell Shelton and this marriage was blessed with two sons Stan and Phil. After Clell passed away in a tragic accident in 1951, Clara was united in marriage to Gale Clinton in 1953 and this marriage was blessed with a son Gale Allen Jr. and a daughter Pam.

Clara retired from Fasco Industries and enjoyed traveling with Gale until his failing health no longer allowed them to travel. Family and friend relationships were a main focus for Clara and her generosity with loving kindness was constant. She was a devoted grandma who often hosted “grandma night” serving pizza, ravioli or hamburgers. Clara also loved a trip to Mexican Villa followed by a Bears or Lady Bears ball game. With her loving soul she was a blessing to so many, especially her large number of good friends. Clara loved her God, her family members and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Ozark.

Clara is survived by her children Stan Shelton and wife Janette, Phil Shelton, Gale Allen Clinton Jr and wife Jetta, Pam Bledsoe and husband Jeff; a sister Jo Roberts; six special grandchildren Lacey Shelton, Luke Shelton and wife Lauren, Jeff Shelton and wife Darci, Wade Shelton, Anna Nixon and husband Conner and Alayna Bledsoe; two beautiful great-grandchildren Jack Shelton, Josie Shelton and Alyvia LeeAnna arriving in February 2021. Clara is also survived by a special friend Pete Edwards, many other caring relatives and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three brothers Gene, Jimmy and Randy Roberts, a daughter-in-law Karla Shelton and a grandson Greg Shelton.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Ozark or Integrity Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff of Integrity for the love and dignity shown to Miss Clara.

Funeral services will be 2:00P.M. Monday, January 4, 2021 in First Baptist Church Ozark. Burial will follow in Roberts Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service and will begin at 1:00P.M in the church. Services for Miss Clara are under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Effective October 21, 2020 through April 1, 2021 the City of Ozark, Missouri issued a mask ordinance. A requirement to wear face coverings when in public, for the purpose of preventing or limiting the spread of COVID-19. Masks are also required at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Barnes Funeral Home is following the ordinance and recommend social distance guidelines. The family and staff thank you in advance, for your understanding during these difficult times.

    Clara was always pleasant and a encourager whereever you saw her when i use to see Pam at the hospital i would ask her about her beautiful scrubs she would proudly say mom made them for me sorry for your loss ,praying for comfort during this difficult time what a sweet lady i worked with her at Fasco

    Sincere condolences to the entire family. Clara Lee was a lovely person, inside and out. I enjoyed Cosmopolitan Club meetings with Clara Lee for several years. We’ll be keeping your family in our prayers as you say your temporary goodbyes. May He grant you strength and comfort until you see her again.
