Connie R. (Kidwell) Curbow, 77 of Ozark, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 26, 2024 in Springfield. She was born April 24, 1946 in Magnolia, West Virginia to her parents Chester Kidwell and Margaret (Kidwell) Riggleman; and married the love of her life Elmer E. Curbow on December 25, 1982, in Newport News, Virginia. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents, Chester and Midge; siblings, Frankie Fleckenstein, Dinah Parker, and Bobby Kidwell; and grandson Mason Elmer Wheeler. She is survived by her four daughters, Vivian Ireland, Thom and Sheryl Curbow Shaw, Mark and Gina McBain, and Paul and Rochelle Curbow Sebesta; eight grandchildren, Kendra, Alexandra, Kaitlyn, Colton, Caleb, Andi, Chelsea, and Jonathan; 9 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kinzey, Madily, Atlas, Hudson, Odin, Vera Jean, Ellie, and Jase; siblings, Pat Moreland, Audrey Parr, and Chester Kidwell.

After graduating from High School, Connie opened her own hair salon in her hometown, establishing herself as a woman of influence at a young age. She loved Jesus with a fire that was contagious and devoted much of her life to teaching and leading small groups, while becoming a prayer warrior and lifeline for countless strangers, friends, and family. Connie’s love for her family was immeasurable and she was the best Mimi to her grandkids and great grandkids. She will be remembered for her smile, her warmth, her encouraging words at just the right moment, her strength and determination as she trusted the Lord through many of life’s challenges, and for her unwavering faith in a God- who is good..all the time.

 

Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Assembly of God Church on Friday, February 2.  Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with the Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 a.m. Cremation and inurnment services under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
