Darrin Lane Hawkins age 40, of Goodhope, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018. On July 4, 1977, in Springfield, Missouri Newton “Bud” and Pamela (Goins) Hawkins were blessed with twin boys Darrin and Derrick. On October 27, 1985 Darrin was baptized as a member of Bruner Church. After Darrin graduated from Sparta High School in 1995 he began working in the construction industry and finding his passion in the electrical field. In January 2017 he began working for Missouri State University in the maintenance department. On September 14, 2007 he was united in marriage to Catherine Wright and this union was blessed with two beautiful children, Isabelle Jean and Calvin Dale. Darrin had a best friend for life, his twin brother Derrick, whom he loved spending time with. He was an amazing father to his two children, he enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Darrin was a fun, loving, personable person who was a true friend and always willing to lend you a hand or the shirt off his back. Darrin is survived by his two children, Isabelle Jean age 9 and Calvin Dale age 4; mother of his children Catherine; his parents Newton “Bud” and Pam Hawkins; twin brother Derrick Hawkins and wife Jennifer; sister Kristin Singh and husband Neil; nephew Joseph Gunsolus and niece Alyssia Hawkins; grandparents Roy and Connie Goins; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Darrin was preceded in death by his grandparents Calvin and Norma Hawkins. The Hawkins Family would like to make a memory book for Darrin’s children. Friday, February 23, 2018 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Alan Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the funeral home.
