Deanah Courtney, age 46 of Ozark, passed away, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Cox South Hospital. She was born November 29, 1965 the daughter of Paul and the late Elnora Handley. On August 27, 1983 she was united in marriage to Kevin Courtney. Deanah was employed as a supervisor with Christian County Enterprise and was a dedicated worker with handicapped people. She was a faithful Christian member and passionate song leader at Seymour Freewill Baptist Church. Deanah was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, a wonderful sister and a true friend. Deanah is survived by her husband Kevin; her father and step- mother Paul and Janet Handley; two sons Jonathan and Joshua; five sisters Delilah Hargis and husband Russell, Deborah Long and husband Tony, Deltenah Long and husband Pastor Robert, Delmyrah Mullen and husband Randy, twin sister Darlah Huggins; one brother David Handley and wife Glenda; and her beautiful granddaughter Dezyrae. In addition to her mother, Deanah was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services for Deanah will be 10:00a.m. Saturday, March 3 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Derek Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Fordland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
