Dewayne Johnston January 12, 1960 - September 14, 2021

Dewayne Johnston, age 61 of Sparta, Missouri passed away early Tuesday morning, September 14, 2021 in St. Louis University Hospital. He was born January 12, 1960, in Tulia Texas, to Marshall Elmer and Lillie Marie (Lyles) Johnston. In March of 2004, Dewayne surrendered his heart and life to Jesus Christ. Dewayne quickly accepted the call of ministry at the Lighthouse Country Church in Colbert, Oklahoma. Then soon, Dewayne became Co-Pastor and adult Sunday School teacher, he enjoyed the ministry very much and with great joy. On April 9, 2011, Dewayne was united in marriage to the love of his life Wanda Beeler. Dewayne and Wanda soon begin their call to Evangelistic Ministry, Harvester’s for Christ. They traveled in obedience to God preaching the Word of God in various states until his passing September 14, 2021. Dewayne was a faithful man of God who lived what he preached and loved with no regret.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Faye and Rose Marie. He is survived by his loving wife Wanda; two daughters Ashley and husband Mike Sewell of Pottsboro, Oklahoma, Jennifer and husband Mike Honeycutt of Sparta, Missouri, one son Joshua and wife Joy Beeler of Mountain Grove, Missouri; three sisters Kay and Ron Potter of Kissee Mills, Missouri, Marsha Colucci of Temple, Oklahoma and Elaine Johnston of Calera, Oklahoma; two brothers Jeff Johnston of Kissee Mills, Missouri, Rodney and wife Dana Johnston of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren Caleb, Caley, Abrianna, Michael, Rebecca, Faith, Bryce, Brody and Brenly; a host of nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Dewayne will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. But we will see him again at that great Roll Call in Heaven. WE LOVE YOU!!!

Funeral services for Dewayne will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 17, 2021 at 65 Full Gospel Church, Spokane, Missouri. Burial will follow in Eisenhour Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M.
