Donald Ray Millsap, age 82 of Sparta, Missouri passed away Thursday evening, February 23, 2017 in Cox South Hospital, Springfield. He was born September 22, 1934 in Mansfield the son of O.R. and Clella (Moody) Gray Millsap. In 1954, he was united in marriage to Priscilla Johnson and four children were born to this union. Don lived in several different towns and enjoyed his employment as a carpenter, mechanic, oilfield worker and rancher. But his real passion centered around his horses and horse trading. Along with his horse trading came his entertaining story- telling and his ability to remember everything he was ever told. Don was also an avid outdoorsman and sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and coon hunting. Don will be missed and his family will forever treasure the wonderful memories he created. Don is survived by four children Connie Roberts and husband Mike, Jerry Millsap and wife Marilyn, Jimmie Millsap and wife Candy, Charles Millsap and wife Diana; the mother of his children, Priscilla Johnson; half-sister Hazel (Millsap) Hoppe and half-brother Dillard Gray. Surviving grandchildren include, Rebecca (Roberts) Miller, Michelle (Roberts) Jones and husband Frank, John Roberts and wife Kati, Carissa Roberts, Jennifer Rosas and husband Gary, Jerrod Stearnes and wife Tiffany, Keith Ball and wife Rebecca, Clint Ball, Calem Millsap, Maria Jefferson and husband Neko, Melissa Sherman and husband Phillip; 24 great-grandchildren, other caring relatives, nieces, nephews and many friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Ryan Ray Roberts, a brother, a half-sister and two half-brothers. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2017 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time.
