Donnealia Faye Thornton, 62, Ozark, Missouri was born August 18, 1955 to Joe and Pauline Thornton. While a patient at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Donnealia went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was welcomed to the Streets of Gold by her parents, baby sister, grandparents Earl and Jessie Jones, Jessie and Jim McHaffie, Joe and Flo Thornton and many other family members and friends. After Donnealia graduated from Ozark High School in 1973, she began her working career at Fisher Steak House. Then later she became employed with Fasco Industries. While being a faithful employee for 28 years, until the business closed, Donnealia made lifelong friends that she loved as family. Donnealia began attending Victory Baptist Church in 1963 when the Thornton family moved to Ozark. She loved being known as the “bingo caller” for the Victory Neighborhood Gathering monthly lunches. Donnealia is survived by her loving siblings; three brothers Pat Thornton and wife Judy of Reeds Spring, Keith Thornton of Ozark and Steven Thornton of Ozark; two sisters Marsha Roussell and husband Dennis of Ozark and Katrina Green and husband Mike of Ozark. Life long memories and love will live on forever through Aunt Donnie’s “favorite” nieces and nephews, Samantha and Bryan VandenHoek, Patrick and Mary Thornton, Michael and Tracey Roussell, Jacque and Sean Colwell, Matt and Katie Roussell, Kristina and Mark Ray, Stephanie Thornton and Aaron Ballard and Kelly Thornton. Great Aunt Donnie also loved her great nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Jessica, David, Austyn, Bryce, Bryanne, Macey, Elliana, Delaney, Marla, Harrison, Kadence, Kenzlee, Averly, Maddy, and Haven. Donnealia will always be remembered as Great-Great Aunt Donnie to Timothy, Matthew and Johnathan. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Hopedale Cemetery where Donnealia will be laid to rest next to her parents. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Barnes Family Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
