Karen Sue Welker, age 65 passed away early Sunday morning, October 29, 2017 in Ozark Riverview Manor. Karen was born in the small town of Newburg, Missouri the daughter of Floyd and Pat Padgett. She lived in Wasola, Missouri for 37 years. Karen Sue Welker was a devoted, compassionate and caring mother who enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren, companion Tom and her friends. She enjoyed farming, gardening, raising dogs and her dearest furry friend Twinkle, which she adored. Karen was a joy to be around at all times, and had many wonderful friends. Karen Sue Welker will be missed and we will forever treasure the wonderful memories she created! Karen is preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Tom Stewart; her parents, Pat and Floyd Padgett; and her daughter, Lisa Ann Welker. She is survived by her three sons, Terry Welker and wife Rhonda, Jason Welker and wife Jennifer and Billy Welker and wife Lisa; eleven grandchildren, Dakota, Destiny and Daytona Pruiett, Sage Welker, Destanie Halbrook, Caitlin and Chandler Welker, Lauren Griffin, Jaci and Josh Welker and Ashley; one great-grandchild Ryan Crunk.Memorial funeral services for Karen will be 10:00 A.M., November 4, 2017 at Smyrna Baptist Church, 3401 Smyrna Road, Ozark, MO with Pastor Dale Grubaugh officiating. Following the service there will be a pot-luck lunch for family and friends in the church. Interment services will then be 2:00 P.M. in the Ava City Cemetery, Ava, MO.
