Dr. James Christopher Froncek, age 65 of Springfield Missouri, passed away Saturday morning, October 26, 2024, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. Jim was born November 15, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, to Dr. Theodore Joseph Froncek and Charlotte Ann (Rader) Froncek.
Jim graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1977, and continued his education at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio from 1977 to 1981. He then attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio for his master’s degree, from 1982-1985. He completed his education at The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, where he received his PhD in Internal Medicine in 1989. He attended OhioHealth for an internship and Mount Carmel Health System for his residency from 1989-1993.
Jim loved to learn, and always prioritized the welfare of his patients. He loved spending time with family. He loved playing and watching sports, he enjoyed the outdoors, from walking on the beach to grilling in the backyard. He loved crossword puzzles, good conversation, and a good cup of coffee. Jim was a member of Campbell United Methodist Church, Springfield, Missouri.
Jim is survived by the mother of his children, Wendy R. (West) Froncek; daughters, Hannah Nicole, Sarah Michelle, and Mary Elizabeth; stepson Brandon Rollins and wife Jessi; grandchildren, Bentley Rollins, and Myla Rollins. Jim is also survived by many dear friends and relatives. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Theodore Joseph Froncek II.
