Eddie Jo Minor, age 50, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 28, 2016, the son of James and Dolores Owen. The second of four children, he was preceded in death by his sister Sherri and son David Minor. He is survived by his parents, James and Dolores Owen of Sparta; sisters, Elizabeth Updegraff and husband Jeff of Sparta; Meleta Getman and husband Oscar of Ozark; sons, Nicholas Wilson and wife Shelby of Seligman; Cody Omstead of Seligman; Dakota Wilson of Rogers, Arkansas and step daughter Ashley Carter and husband Coy of Bolivar; and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other caring relatives and many friends. Eddie was a proud and loving father and grandfather. He was a warm, loving person who easily made friends and shared unconditional love. He enjoyed fishing and barbecuing with family and friends. Eddie worked in various industries throughout his life but his passion was helping other people. He will be greatly missed and with cherished memories. Memorial funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Jeff Updegraff officiating. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 P.M. until service time. Arrangements under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
