Elizabeth Janice Bilyeu, age 90 of Reeds Spring, Missouri, passed away Saturday morning, February 4, 2023, in James River Nursing and Rehabilitation, Springfield, Missouri. Janice, as she was fondly known, was born August 27, 1932, to her parents, John and Mary (Brown) Doss. On May 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to Bobby Jack Bilyeu and enjoyed 66 years of marriage, until his death in 2014. This marriage was blessed with 10 children.
Janice is survived by a sister Joneva Patterson; two sons Bobby J. Bilyeu and wife Josephine, Jan Bilyeu and wife Lynn; five daughters Velvet Jennings and husband Gary, Barbara McKee and husband Timothy, Beverly Hutchison and husband Terry, Lisa Bilyeu, Jennifer Stewart and husband Billy. She was a beloved grandmother to twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other caring relatives. In addition to her husband, Janice was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Louise Courtney, Martha Eakins and Verma Snider, a brother John Doss, two daughters Lily Bilyeu and Violet Bilyeu, son John Bilyeu, a granddaughter Becky Jennings and a great-great-grandson Samson Rodgers.
Celebration of Life services for Janice will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 11, 2023, in Ozark Full Gospel Church, 3081 Selmore Road, Ozark, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A. M. and will be held for an hour before the service. A private graveside service will be held later in the Ozark City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Janice Bilyeu.
