Erva Lou Johnson, age 88, of Sparta, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in her home. Erva Lou was born January 3, 1937, in Highlandville, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Wilma (Melton) Bolin.

As a child, Erva Lou attended Highlandville and Spokane School before graduating. On December 28, 1952, she was united in marriage to Bobby Johnson. Together they shared 48 years of marriage before Bob passed away on February 3, 2000. Erva Lou was a dedicated resident of Sparta, working as a salesclerk for Sparta Dry Goods for 25 years. In 1989 she retired after receiving a cancer diagnosis. After overcoming her cancer diagnosis, she was caretaker of her husband Bob, her mother and her mother-in-law. Erva Lou was a proud member of Sparta Church of Christ and loved her church family dearly. Erva Lou spent many happy times with her nieces, nephews and cousins making priceless memories they will carry throughout their lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, sister Joan Fulton, brother Bob Bolin, brother-in-law James Fulton.

Erva Lou is lovingly survived by her nieces and nephews, Connie Spies and husband Joe of Fort Worth, Texas; Michele Belthius and husband Butch of Oldfield, Missouri; Mike Fulton and wife Vonda of Seymour, Missouri; and Mark Bolin of Sparta, Missouri; sister-in-law Becky Bolin; great nieces and nephews Derek Spies and wife Polina; Kimberly Attaway and husband Gary; Catlin Bolin; Amanda Hartness and husband John; and Deni Fulton; great-great nieces and nephews Ivanka, Emilia, Landon, Christopher, Caroline, Blake and Aaliyah; other special cousins Lou Ann Stark; Ellen Frederickson and husband Edwin; Christopher Stark and wife Stef; Christopher Bryant; Madi Stark; Nathan Henry and wife Jazmin and many dear friends.

Funeral Services for Erva will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to service time Saturday, May 24, 2025, in the funeral home.
