Eva Vaughan, age 94 of Springfield, Missouri passed away in her home Friday, April 3, 2015. She was born May 18, 1920 in Stone County, the daughter of William and Lillie (Macomb) Hale. On February 25, 1939 she was united in marriage to Oren Vaughan who preceded her in death on November 14, 2002. Eva was a faithful member of Harvest Ministries Church of Springfield where she enjoyed the blessings of God. She enjoyed fellowship and shared her talented handwork with other members. Eva donated a handmade quilt to be auctioned and her church received $1000.00 from her generous gift. Eva also enjoyed being an outdoors gardener and always shared her bounty of vegetables with others. Music was one of her favorite joys and she once played music with Slim Wilson. Eva is survived by two daughters Geraldine Vaughan and Shirley Bush and husband David; a brother Roger Hale; two sisters Imagene Eddings and Mary Wilson; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous other caring relatives. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, three brothers and a granddaughter, Anita. Visitation will be 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri prior to funeral services beginning at 2:00p.m. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
