Gwen Sue Burkhart, age 71 of Chadwick, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in her home. Sue was born October 23, 1943 in Bruner the daughter of Otie and Violet (Nelson) Hull. On January 4, 1960 she was united in marriage to Larry Dale Burkhart and this marriage was blessed with two sons, Alan and Ronald. Sue was a longtime resident of Christian County and a member of Chadwick Baptist Temple. She enjoyed attending church and was actively involved with her family. After retiring from Hagles Industries, Sue spent her time outdoors, fishing, camping and growing flowers. Sue was also a talented cook and enjoyed traveling to Washington State to visit relatives. Sue will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Sue is survived by two sons Alan Burkhart and wife Becky and Ronald Burkhart all of Chadwick; three grandchildren Amber Parker and husband Reuben, Dustin Burkhart and wife Rachel, Autum Maggard and husband Chance; two brothers Wade Hull and John Hull; one sister Huba Winslow; ten great-grandchildren, several special nieces and nephews and other caring relatives. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters Marie Loveland, Joyce Holt, Kate Moore, Fern Anderson and Mable McCoy; two brothers Kenneth Hull and Arthur Hull. Funeral services for Sue will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Bally Johnson and Clint Johnson officiating.
