Fern Cobb, age 100 years of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 in Ozark Riverview Manor, Ozark. She was born September 8, 1913 in Pretty Rock, North Dakota the daughter of Earl and Lola Viola (LaRue) Snyder. On September 1, 2010 she was united in marriage to Rex Cobb. Fern loved her family and embraced life with a huge heart. She loved animals, dancing and was always laughing or smiling. She will be sadly missed by her family but fondly remembered. Fern is survived by her husband Rex Cobb. Fern was also the beloved mother to her son Dan Cobb and wife Janelle Cobb of Rogersville and daughter Dawn Crain and husband Claude of Springfield. Additionally, Fern is survived by two grandsons Evan Cobb and Loren Crain and wife Courtney; a granddaughter Nicci Westbrook and husband Eddie; a great-grandson Jack Crain; three nephews Jim, Dan and Robbie Snyder; two nieces Carol Krahn and Sherril Jones other caring relatives, and several friends. Funeral services were 12:30p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor James Eakins officiating. December 24, 2013 at 6:48 pmI met Fern at riverview as I am always visiting my mother…fern and I became friends. I loved the way she loved doing her makeup…we had that in common! I would bring her lipsticks as I work in the cosmetics industry…she loved them! She always had a great smile and a little mischievous twinkle in her eye, especially when she told me about her adventures in Alaska …I wish I could have known her before riverview also she was wonderful! And she also had a wonderful family as she talked of her children often…I will miss our visits!
