Garry Dale Mitchell, age 70 of Garrison, Missouri, passed away on Sunday evening, June 15, 2014 due to complications of a long illness. He was born February 5, 1944 at Chadwick the son of Clarence O. and Ethel Pearl (Stevens) Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law, Junior Melton and Manford Braden and his second wife, Alice Tucker. He is survived by nine children and two step-children and their spouses Tom, John, Bill, Mary, Jane, James, Caroline, Ellen, Becky, Bethany, and Kelby; two brothers Jerry and Larry Mitchell and a sister Doris Braden; 27 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; special caregiver Sherri Burks.. He is also survived by his first wife, Carol Mitchell, the mother of his nine children. He was loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.Funeral services for Garry will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Jon Mitchell and Pastor Jonathan Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Swansville Cemetery, Garrison, Missouri. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
