Gene Huff November 9, 1931 - January 18, 2022

Claude Eugene Huff, age 90 of Sparta, Missouri passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in his home. Gene as he was fondly known, was born November 9, 1931, the son of Robert Nathan and Alice Marie (Gilmore) Huff. Gene was united in marriage to Pauline Huff who preceded him in death.

Gene was a faithful member of the Ozark Full Gospel Church and loved attending all church functions. He loved to testify and talk with other believers about the many blessings from Jesus Christ. Gene proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and received an honorable discharge, after serving two years. After his retirement from Oklahoma University as a maintenance supervisor, he enjoyed working in the garden, being outdoors and feeding the birds. Gene will be sadly missed but will live on forever in the hearts of his loving family and friends.

In addition to the love of his life Pauline, Gene was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter Teresa Huff, brother Jerry Huff and sister Judy. Gene is survived by two sons Robert Huff and wife Kay of Springfield, Missouri, Allen Huff and wife Terrie of Sparta, Missouri; six grandchildren Amber Huff, Justin Huff, Tyler Jarvis, Brittany Parson, Adam Day and Jeffery Day; five great-grandchildren Jeffery, Whitney, Turner, Tatum and Sawyer; two brothers Charles Huff and Wesley Huff; other caring relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 21, 2022, in Ozark Full Gospel Church with Pastor James Eakins officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. in the church. Arrangements under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri.
