Goldie Bauer May 21, 1922 - March 1, 2015

Goldie Bauer, age 92 of Sparta, Missouri passed away Sunday evening, March 1, 2015 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born at Protem, Missouri, May 21, 1922 the daughter of Evert and Bessie (Nash) Blakey. Goldie was united in marriage to Glen Coffer and Franklin Bauer both whom preceded her in death. Goldie was a longtime resident of Christian County and a busy homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, growing and canning vegetable gardens and caring for her family. Goldie welcomed friends and was always a good hostess for family gatherings. Her cooking talents and caring ways will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husbands and parents Goldie was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Williams; a son-in-law, Harold Williams; siblings, Theo Seitz, Lillian Coffer, Bob Blakey, Calbert Blakey and Mary Ann Carsten. Goldie is lovingly survived by her daughter Geneva Williams; three grandchildren Kyle Williams, Stormy Phillips and Pamela Ash; five great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Allen and Agnes Williams; a brother Delbert Blakey; other caring relatives and friends. Funeral services for Goldie will be 2:00P.M. Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. in the funeral home. Goldie will be laid to rest in Swansville Cemetery.
