Herbert H. Davis December 4, 1928 - August 31, 2011

Herbert H. Davis, 82, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Herbert was born December 4, 1928 in Rogersville, Missouri the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Davis. He was employed at Shawnee Mission Post Office 28 years. After retiring from the post office he worked for Roeland Park Community Center. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jewell Stafford and Mildred Kelley. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elloene Davis; one daughter Ramona Steadman and husband Marc and one son Brent Davis; three grandchildren Michelle Cordes and husband Adam, Victoria Steadman and Andrew Steadman; one brother Roy J. (Jeff)Davis. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2011 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri with burial to follow in Sparta Cemetery, Sparta, Missouri.
