JoAnita Haskins April 7, 1943 - December 9, 2016

JoAnita Haskins, age 73 of Fordland, Missouri passed away December 9, 2016 in Cox South Hospital, Springfield. She was born April 7, 1943 the daughter of Gordon and Thelma Christine (Shipman) Lee. On June 12, 1970 JoAnita was united in marriage to Vern Haskins and to this union one son Aaron was born. After graduating from Sparta High School, JoAnita attended Draughons Business College for two years and later was employed by Mid-Am, where she met Vern. Together they purchased a farm and enjoyed the rural life. JoAnita enjoyed raising chickens and loved her over stock of cats. She was a committed Mom to Aaron, a talented cook and will be fondly missed by her family. JoAnita is survived by her husband Vern; her caring son Aaron Haskins; a sister LaQueta Luttrull and husband Keith and other caring relatives. JoAnita was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside funeral services for JoAnita will be 2:15 P.M. Monday, December 12, 2016 in Sparta Cemetery with Ted Spencer officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
